Joanna Grosshans is a Milwaukee-area violinist with extensive orchestral and chamber experience. Her performance credits include the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, and Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra, with formative seasons at the New World Symphony and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. A graduate of Boston University (MM) and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (BM), she took top honors at the 2010 Boston University Bach Competition. Festival credits include Tanglewood and Aspen, and she performed professionally with the Peninsula Music Festival from 2014 to 2020. 

When not on stage, Joanna works in technology and lives in Thiensville with her husband and two children.
